At 5 p.m. on a Friday, Saving Sight received an urgent request from a physician partner. A patient had suffered a corneal perforation and needed emergency surgery the following morning. The surgeon had secured operating room access—but transplant tissue needed to arrive by 7 a.m.
Nicole Taylor, a member of Saving Sight’s Client Services team, immediately identified suitable tissue and began coordinating an after-hours delivery to the surgery center.
