Virtual Legacy Garden

A space for honoring and celebrating those who have given the gift of sight.

Saving Sight Virtual Legacy Garden

Love is like a beautiful flower which I may not touch, but whose fragrance makes the garden a place of delight just the same.
–Helen Keller

In 2019, 2,942 heroes gave the gift of sight though eye donation with Saving Sight. We are continually looking for new ways to celebrate our donors as well as their families who helped to make their gifts possible. Saving Sight is creating a virtual legacy garden hosted on our Instagram as an additional way to remember and honor our donors, especially during these times of limited human interaction.

A virtual memorial is an online space created for the purpose of remembering, celebrating, and commemorating those who have passed and we hope our legacy garden will live on and continue to grow for years to come.

We encourage our donor families to contribute their own garden themed photos in remembrance of their loved one along with a special story or quote to be featured on our Instagram. There is no deadline, and families may contribute at any time.

We hope our garden is a source of beauty, hope, and connection for both our donor families and recipients alike, and we encourage visiting our Instagram to share kind comments of remembrance and support as our garden begins to bloom.
