Saving Sight Lion Ambassador of the Year

Volunteers are at the heart of Saving Sight’s mission, and we want to thank them for their service and recognize their work! That’s why our Board of Directors created a new program in 2023 to name an annual Lion Ambassador of the Year.

Nominations for this prestigious award are considered by the Missouri Lions Council Chair, current District Governors, and the Saving Sight board. Nominees may be a Lions Club member or a community member and should have made a measurable impact in our service area of Missouri, Kansas and Illinois in the last year. Through their work, nominees must exemplify the mission, “We change lives by saving sight.” Finally, nominees cannot be a seated Saving Sight board member, immediate past board member or a Saving Sight employee.
