Reports to: Director of Quality Improvement & Regulatory Affairs

Location: Kansas City, Missouri


This mission centered position is responsible for Quality Assurance activities including file verifications and administrative support.  Works in collaboration with cross functional teams for the implementation of continuous improvement activities within Saving Sight.


  • Provide administrative support to the Quality Assurance department.
  • Verifies the content of electronic files to internal archiving procedures.
  • Desktop audits of previously archived files.
  • Create reports and format for allocation.
  • Data entry within multiple platforms.
  • Comprehend and effectively apply knowledge to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.


  • Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities can be acquired.


  • Relevant quality related experience
  • Familiar with the donation process from referral through tissue distribution.
  • Knowledge of current eye banking standards and federal regulations is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required.
  • Strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, with limited direction, and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work with distraction and to multi-task with frequent interruptions.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, general database, and web-based applications.
  • Must have reliable transportation.


  • Will require professional interaction with clients and/or outside agencies.
  • Requires schedule flexibility due to the nature of the Eye Bank’s business.
  • Frequent periods of intense concentration, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle mental and physical strain involved in use of printed materials and prolonged use of computer screens.
  • Moderate manual dexterity for basic keyboarding.
  • Long periods of sitting and/or standing may be required.  Ability to lift and move more than 20 pounds.


  • Normal office environment.
